My motors won't start.

I can't see my video feed.

  • Make sure your aircraft and remote controller are free from all magnetic or signal interference.
  • Make sure you are connected to the X-Star Wi-Fi.
  • Power the drone off, restart the app, and reconnect to the aircraft.
  • Make sure the gimbal is fully attached to the aircraft.

Compass calibration has failed.

Upgrading the firmware failed.

  • Click here for instructions on updating the firmware.

My X-Star is behaving erratically during flight.

  • Land the aircraft, power down the drone, and restart it. Initiate compass calibration and wait for a GPS satellite signal.
  • If the weather is bad, please wait until conditions are better. High winds exceeding 20 to 30 mph can cause erratic behavior during flight.
  • Land the aircraft, power down the drone, and move to a new location.
  • An area of high magnetic interference can cause erratic behavior during flight. If the magnetic interference warning pops up on the controller, land the drone, power it down, and move to a new location.
  • Do not fly in areas with towers, telephone poles, dense downtown populations, or high Wi-Fi usage.

Magnetic Interference error.

  • Power down the drone and move to a new location.
  • Avoid areas with towers, lots of power lines, or metal that is near the drone.

The number of GPS satellites is too low.

  • Restart the drone in a new location and wait about 1 to 5 minutes for the drone to re-acquire the satellite signal.
  • Adverse weather conditions could affect the GPS signal.

My X-Star drifts up/down/left/right.

  • Always wait for the drone to acquire sufficient (12 or more) GPS satellite locks.
  • Perform a compass calibration.
  • Confirm that wind conditions are optimal for flight.
