Do I need to Register My Drone?
You need to register your aircraft if it weighs between 0.55 lbs. (250 grams) and up to 55 lbs. (25 kg)
X-Star series weights:
- X-Star: 3.13 lb.
- X-Star Premium: 3.13 lb.
To register as a drone user with the FAA follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Click the image to create your FAA account.
Step 2: The FAA emails you a confirmation.
Step 3: Follow the link in the confirmation email to create your FAA profile.
Step 4: Read and acknowledge the safety guidelines.
Step 5: Enter and confirm your method of payment. The cost is $5.00 and your registration number is valid for 3 years.
Step 6: Print the certificate and record your UAS number onto the aircraft.
